My name is Adrian Ward and I have been an entrepreneur in the Network Marketing industry for 11 years. When I first got started I had a successful Financial Advisory business but I worked 60-70 hours per week and had no life! I even had to work weekends and my business was sucking the life out of me! And despite all my efforts I was earning a miserable $50 - $70K a year!
One of my clients invited me to a business presentation but when he told me it was a network marketing opportunity my mind snapped shut...I was very skeptical about network marketing.
However, my client had quite a lot of money invested with me so to appease my client I agreed to go along to the business presentation with the intention of saying "Thanks, but no thanks " at the end.
Now to my surprise at the presentation was Robert Allen # 1 Best Selling author of "Nothing Down", Creating Wealth", Multiple Streams Of Income" and more recently co-author of "The One Minute Millionaire". One of the serious entrepreneurs. I had read some of Robert Allen’s material and discovered he was in a successful entrepreneurs internet business! Robert explained how he too had been initially skeptical but explained that these were great quality products and the business model provided an excellent opportunity to use "leverage" but more importantly to create "residual income". He said it was one of the top network marketing companies.
One of the other things Robert Allen said was:

It is the age of the entrepreneur and the self employed. The surest road to wealth is to build a successful entrepreneurs business of your own. As 99% of retirees understand only too well, it is difficult to get rich working for someone else because it is difficult for most people to attract the money they want through a wage. Generally, there is no security in wages because when you stop working you stop earning - your income is linear.
The smart thing to do is to get into business - become an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship is the art of finding profitable solutions to problems. Clearly now is one of the greatest times in history to create wealth in your own entrepreneur business by taking advantage of emerging trends, offering products and services that match the market needs - but not necessarily through a traditional business.
To cut a long story short after doing my due diligence I decided to become an entrepreneur and started with the network marketing business opportunity. At the beginning I could only devote 8-10 hours a week to the business. It started slowly but then the leverage kicked in by me helping others to succeed and within 2 years I was able to sell my Financial Advisory business and did my network marketing home business fulltime. Except I no longer worked 60-70 hours per week.
Before I was a slave to my Financial Advisory business. I was now making more money but spending less time to do this entrepreneur business.
Here’s what life looked like for my beautiful wife Leslie and I….
We went from owning a very modest 3 bedroom home (well the bank really owned the home) to living in a brand new 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 3 living room home surrounded by other executive homes and we were mortgage free!
I used to drive a Honda Integra and my wife drove a beat up Honda Prelude. Both cars were over 12 years old. Next thing I’m driving a Mercedes E280 and my wife got a BMW Series 5.
We got to travel a lot to far off places that we had only dreamed of visiting before.
I’m not telling you this to impress you but to impress upon you what’s possible in this industry. I had discovered this entrepreneur business and had become one of the successful entrepreneurs.
Then disaster struck
People started leaving my network marketing downline and I was constantly having to backfill to replace those who had left my downline! What I discovered is that everything my Upline and Company training events had been teaching me was old school techniques that were obsolete.
Yes I had learned how to become an entrepreneur as I’ve just outlined but most of the things I was taught (and many others) about building a business were archaic to say the least and it was undermining my business.
The statistics in our industry prove this. 95% of people in this industry fail!
The reason they fail is not because they chose the wrong company. It's because they were never shown how to market their business necessary for the 21st Century.
I Needed To Turn My Entrepreneur Business Around As Soon As Posible Before I Went Under...
I did everything I could to up-skill myself to make this business work...

I read everything I could lay my hands on ...

I got all the CD's and DVD's that the company produced and poured over these...

I attended all the company events....

Pestered my Sponsor and Mentor for all his pearls of wisdom...

Listened in to the webcasts and special training events...

Attended all the Super Success Saturdays...
I re-contacted people on my names list ( as instructed by my sponsor)...bought business leads...handed out flyers...put up little signs on telephone poles...put some ads in the Business Opportunity section of the local paper. I don't know how many people I did presentations to, I lost count! I did my own large group presentations for members of my team. I even did Hotel presentations for people cross line to me.
I was awarded the top Preferred Customer enroller for my company two years in a row! The sort of person other sponsors would love to have in their downline!
Despite all this effort and focus I was no better off to producing the "residual income" that everyone talks about. You know, that "walk away income".
Yes the size of my network marketing business was a decent size. But I felt myself sliding backwards even though I had great success for the forst few years! It seemed like one step forward and then two steps back!
Things just did not seem to be much better. I seemed to be working even harder than I had before but just wasn't getting those same results any longer. All the things my Sponsor showed me I did. As well as a whole lot of other things.
After two years of concentrated focus and effort I was no better off...

I was "burnt out" from all this frantic effort that just wasn't producing the results like I had before.

I was tired of my Sponsor telling me just to do the numbers each week and the results would take care of themselves. He just said I needed to "crank it up".

No matter what I did my team were just not replicating me. I felt like I was the only one really doing it.
- I had invested a lot of money on purchasing leads, printing flyers and placing advertisements in the local newspaper not to mention all the CD's and DVD's I had purchased.

On the Internet I read stories of people making huge money and in some cases in a relatively short time. I figured this was the way to go in the 21st Century.
One day when I was surfing the internet looking for a solution to become a successful internet entrepreneur I stumbled onto a guy who was making $50,000 a month as an online entrepreneur. I filled out a form on his website and waited for him to call me back. I told him my situation and said I was burnt out with my current entrepreneur business opportunity and told him I wanted to earn $50,000 a month.

Talk to everyone within 3 feet of you!
Now that made a lot of sense....
I was truly struggling and I knew in my heart I had to do something totally different. You know the saying: "If you keep doing what you've always done you'll get what you always got which is the definition of insanity"!
What I had previously done had worked but now with the advent of the Internet I had to do things differently to get better results.
This is what I did...

I learned things that completely changed the way I had previously been taught. You know the "Old School Techniques" of Network Marketing.
What I realized and my new Mentor pointed out to me is that most people in this industry have "no clue about marketing". They just keep propagating these old school techniques of talking to everyone you know. You know the "throw them up against the wall and hope that some of them stick!"
Of course initially I was upset when he told me all this but unfortunately I did not know any better because that was how I had been taught and like I said in the beginning it worked. Times have changed and I knew I had to move with the times.
